i wish i hadnt tried to be so precise and just done it so it was stretched over a bit more so it was nice and tight! as one of the panels is a bit baggy if you get me.

didnt take any pics of thr process as it was my first attempt! but i will when i do the rest.

i spent about an hour one evening taking it apart and about 3 hours while watching tv and having couple of vodka n coke's! they were already off my car though!

I'm sure the fronts will be harder, but should be do able!

p.s. who else loves the carpet where i live! kidding

i like it, how much would i have to spend to do the same sort of thing

re

well its only some leatherette stuff i bought off ebay so not real leather!

i honestly cant remember how much it was, but i'm sure i paid about 60 or 80 quid for a massive roll as i have already re covered 6 chairs for my round my kitchen table!

once you've bought that its time and patience, i have borrowed a half decent sewing machine off my g/f's mum, i guess it depends if you can access one?

looks a good job Allan, as you said it could do with being a bit tighter in places, but for a first crack id be well happy

hope the fronts go well for you mate

re

cheers,

yeah it went over a doddle as if you warm it up with hot air gun it stretches a bit so wish i had done it with intention of being dead tight, if i have enough left i might re do it.

i searched for cream leather or crean leatherette or cream vinly i cant remember to be honest. i think it came up as 'bone' leatherette in the end.

no one knows if you can make vinyl/leatherette shrink a bit like you can with leather?

do you need to be skilled to do it, or is it simple, i want to but havent got a clue how to!

looks good, now i only need a set of seats to start. i dont think i would be very popular if i started taking out the seats!!

good job!!

i like your carpet if no one eles does :)

re

i havent used any glue? as they weren't glued down before! there is small metal wires in the foam and you sew bits for wires in the cover and small hoops of wire join the two and pull them tight to stop it moving around

erm, i dunno i didnt thinkit was too hard, just trace the bits you un stitch on the new material and sew together about the same distance in from the edge!

just made sure i marked everythgin and drew a diagram of where bits were and where the wires inside were and the piping etc.

I have a whole spare set of seats, and my brava is off the road anyway, so i have a spare set if your interested?

i'm in wiltshire, i wouldnt want much if anythgin for them?

Will the Brava seats fit a Bravo or are they too big? I might be interested as I was going to re-cover mine, but dont fancy making a mess of the ones I have.
Cheers,
