Hi there, Just thought I would introduce myself. I have only just got my fiat uno turbo back on the road. I bought the car in 1997 and I took it off the road in 1998. Being young and stupid I started to modify it and running a big hybrid turbo etc it blew up! I dragged it out of dry storage at the beginning of the year and its now finished. Its now fully rebuilt/restored. Taken back to a bare shell full respray in original white. Not a single bolt was left of it. Two very small bits of welding on the rear struts and thats it. Two new old stock doors and two new genuine front wings. New brakes, rebuilt calipers but retained the original white powder coated brake pipes. All the suspension was rebuilt and painted. Engine rebuilt and gearbox taken apart and checked. new clutch, hydraulics, water pump basically any doubt in anything it was replaced. All the seat covers were removed and cleaned and refitted to the frames. I haven't added up what this has cost me and I dont want to. This car means to much to me. Its bog standard except a suspension kit and I have had to recover the headlining in a black material as the old one had deteriorated (if anybody has a spare one for a factory sunroof i would love to buy it)
My question is how rare is my car and I want to sort out classic car insurance on it and I need to know the value. So realistically whats it worth? Only things left to do is black vinyl on B posts and door sill stickers.
regards Ben
