Yeah Sammi's right - should be leaving the country in about 4-6 weeks, we've had verbal confirmation of the visa being approved, now just waiting for the paperwork to be finalised (hopefully!).

3 years in the cold Midwest in front of me mean that both cars have got to go - just need to find buyers for them now

Looking to pick up a US-spec (2.5l) Impreza or Legacy over there as will need 4wd for the winters, but won't really need the ground clearance or want to run a sh*te SUV.

Also determined to pick up an early 80s muscle car and run it until it breaks, even if that's only two weeks!

Hell yeah! Always wanted one of these babies and leave a large 11 on the tarmac.

Spend US$500 on a complete sh*tter, make sure it runs (no MOT needed) and then run it 'til it breaks.

However, shall probably end up with something like this......

I should imagine you could pick up an okay (old) muscle car pretty cheap over there. I have a friend in this country, he has picked up a '84 vette for £4k and that's with all the import duties etc paid for. 5.7L v8, makes my coop sound like a mouse by comparison

Yeah but it american, so it'll be a 5.7l V8, with a 0-60 of 15 seconds.

Got these from a yank site, no idea if they are accurate, but according to this the 1984 'vette made the dash in 6.7 now that's not too bad for a "yank tank" surely Notice the times drop in 1989 due to fuel injection being introduced, then a second slower the following year due to stricter legislation Fast now though, sub 5's. Just don't throw corners into the mix
