Seicento My car.

Introduction

Hello folks, Here are some pictures of my Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1.
I've only had to change the rocket cover gasket, other than that I've done nothing else mechanically in the three week's I've had it. :) (those of you on the Scottish forum may have already seen it.)
The vent was on the car when I purchased it, as was the body kit. I don't know that much about car's as it's my first car haha. I think it add's a little bit of unusual style to the car.

Thanks folks, I was thinking of lowering it but im not sure if I should. Tbh I don't even know how to do it! Haha. As for the fog lights I was testing them out when i took that picture.

Very nice first car. :)

Whatever you do make sure you let your insurance know about it. They are sneaky weasels that will take thousands of your Pounds when they want but do everything in their power to not pay out when you need them. Undeclared modifications a are top of their list of excuses. So if they don't know, tell them about the body kit and if you decide to do so make sure you declare the lowering springs and shocks.

On that topic. Car companies spend millions developing suspension for the best feel, handling and cost. There is always a compromise for road cars due to the state of the roads, various payloads and so on. With the Seicento Sporting the car is a little softer then the Cinquecento, personally due to the speed ramps and potholes where I live I wouldn't lower the car but get the firmer springs from the older model. If you insist on lowering the car for cosmetic reasons I wouldn't go lower than -30mm all round. Any lower and you'd need to get the geometry checked and set up properly.

Most important. Whatever else you do. Enjoy your car. :)

Nice car apart from vent
The bodykit is a standard feature on sporting spec and if this is a abarth model like the one i used to have, the side skirts are standard too
Does it have abarth badges on head rest?

Thank's for the advice! :)
Well as for the lowering where I live there are alot of speedbumps. I'm not sure if it's getting lowered yet. It does have abarth sewed into the headrest however it doesn't say on the registration document. (not sure if it should or not)

It won't be on the V5 ;)
The abarth model came with the 14" wheels, side skirts, spoiler & logo headrests.

I believe they also had slightly different final drive so they weren't slowed down by the bigger wheels.

Only thing i can see on that car that would need declaring to insurance is the bonnet vent - which if it were mine would come off anyway.

I would say if you get decent shortened shocks then 40mm lowering all round is fine for most places i've been in the UK - just take it easy over speedbumps and potholes (but you should do that anyway if you have any sense). My Sei is lowered 40mm all round with adjustable shocks and its as comfy as a standard car when set soft but handles a hell of alot better.
