Technical My 2.0 petrol Ulysse

Hi the 2003 petrol Ulysse I bought on her first run only went to 4th gear in sequential mode and then I noticed a bad burning smell of something toxic coming through vents ,got her back can't be sure as it's so far back but think brake reservoir empty, brakes also very weak , if that isn't enough there's like a plumbing noise while ticking over and exhaust noisy and a bit uneven exiting tail pipe , other than that she's quite nice . So smell might be leaking brake fluid on hot exhaust?? Is auto box rip? Any help appreciated
