has any one come across uno headlight storks sqeeking or wisteling every now and again when i hit dip beam they start to make this noise sometimes it goes away and sometimes it stayes untill you woble them or turn them of and on again
the sound is actualy coming from the swich itself like a piese of metal in their vibrating due to current going throu it i dont know how this happens and i am just wondering if anyone else has it on theirs

at first i thought it was one of those cheap fit it your self left your lights on warning devises wich whould be an unusual fing to fit to a fiat as you cant leave the lights on less you press the buton and turn your key back one more

it isent so much of a problem more of a novalty of the uno and i dont mind it atall i'm not about to run and get a new swich as it isent faulty or anyting it works fine just happens to sqeek

also every now and again wilset turning sharply my indicator relay make a bell like noise instead of a click i like this noise to howether i have heared of many relays doing this so this is not so unusual to me and dosent bother me in the slightest

mabey my car was an instrument in an earlier life

also when i go over bumps my bias valve makes a donk noise at the back of the car mabey one of these days i will turn the lever other to get rid of it temporarily untill it wears a notch in the other side and starts again

The 'donk' sound from the bias valve is certainly familiar ;)
Also in a basic Uno 45 you can hear the sloshing sounds from the fuel tank after you stop. It really gives you a feeling of close-contact with the car.

Otherwise I've never heard of the other sounds! :D
I think you're right in that your car was a musical instrument in a previous life... how you get the bell-like tone from a flasher unit is beyond me, but sounds a great idea.

And the light stalks (I wondered what relevance a 'stork' was) should never be able to make a sound... how does a piece of brass (or similar) make a sound when current goes through it... that has me puzzled. I think the best explanation is the one you provided - someone has fitted a lights-on reminder. But you'd expect that to be a beep or a buzz!

Maybe you're actually a gifted musician and hear notes in things that we don't? :)

well i had a scat around for one of those daft fings but nothing and the sound is definately coming from the swich itself as when i woble it it changes and goes away sometimes it has me completly puzeled

mabey i will try and record it and post it on here
