Hi All

I cannot start my multipla 1.9 JTD 2003 the engine will crank fine. But it will not start I called out the road side assistance he had no idea. He used easy start it did start and ran fine but as soon as I turned the engine off it would not start again. I have changed the Crank sensor purchased from shop4parts. Still the same any ideas thoughts would be great.

Many thanks

Andrew

Update to this issue. I have started the engine by using a little easy start spray. then the car runs fine but once turn off the engine it just cranks over again.

Behind the rad is a plug going south east from north west in plug this and reconnect some times it wiggled loose

Hard to under stand due to I phones spelling un plug and re connect or clean if possible

is it turning over if so

first change fuel filter first cheapest

Then check glow plugs you can disconnect them measure each one from body to tip with multimeter on resistance should read about 0.9 ohms .

I am assumimg your running on good diesel without any bio in it .

if a diesel has fuel and air should start

I doubt it is the glow plugs as they are not really required to start the engine particularly in the weather...
I wonder if you might have a small air leak in your fuel system ie letting air in to the injector and causing an airlock preventing the injectors from working properly. just a thought....
