Hello everyone. I've just joined the website. Good to know people are out there with an interest in the Multipla.
I've got a problem with my Multipla. It's JTD 1.9 diesel on an '02 plate. I've had it for 18 months or so and it's been ok. It's done 102,000 and recently I noticed that it's got no bottom end grunt atall. It will eventually reach upto 80-85 mph but it takes a life time to get there and overtaking is fraught with problems. I was on the motorway yesterday and if I was on the flat doing 65mph and wanted to overtake, it would often leave me in the outside lane unable to get past the car in the middle lane having run out of steam at 70mph. And on the hills it's even more noticeable!
Even when pulling away from a standing start it's sluggish and going down through the box doesn't help much. It almost feels like it's governed but when I had it originally it was a flyer.
I'm not mechanically minded so any help would be appreciated. Could it be a blown turbo or a fuel mapping problem or cylinder head gasket gone perhaps?
Regards
Chris
