hi i ve had my multipla for 3 years now its been great, but just recently when the fuel guage gets down to around a quarter of a tank it s started cutting out, ive changed the fuel pump and crank sensor , eeven had the diagnostic machine on it , it shows no faults any ideas? when there is over a quarter of a tank it runs fine, i m baffled, anyone got any ideas????????

when it cuts out, does it start straight away or take a few minutes? when it next cuts out if it is safe to do so jump out and pull the fuel cap off and see if you can hear a rush of air, if you do the problem is easy and free to fix

"" it shows no faults any ideas? ""

- you've already replaced the fuel pump and crank sensor, you could spend a lot more money and still not solve it
- might be a better idea to train your brain so that 1/4 means empty and fill up time !
- the money in the 1/4 tank is an already paid investment in avoiding a breakdown / error code consequence
- unless you go to Belgium twice a week and back you will never need the capacity anyway

This happens to me and I have the luxury of a code reader, I just treat the quarter tank as empty and fill~er~up

Is this the breather getting blocked? as our car has stopped twice with a low fuel load, (diesel)
Cheers Paul.
