My 2001 1.6 petrol Multipla whilst running idle yesterday said "engine coolant low, turn engine off".

I did this and waited to look in the coolant tank, when i did the coolant colour was like rusty water and very low.

What coolant do i need and how do i drop the coolant tank for a refill of new coolant?

HELP

OEM coolant is Paraflu which is Ethylene Glycol based.

Any ethylene glycol based coolant will be fine, you can buy this pre-mixed or neat which you then dilute to the right strength.

Suggest you top up with (soft) water and take it for a run to check for leaks, no point in filling up only to find it's on the floor later.

There are two bleed plugs on the radiator (underneath the plastic cover), there is also one on the heater pipe that goes through the bulkhead.
Fill it up, take it for a run and then bleed again.
