Looking to get a scan tool, for diagnostics and fault reading, codes etc.

Does anyone have experience of both the multiecuscan and icarsoft CR pro?
Not much in it with price (with the multiplexed package), but it's their capabilities I'm interested in.

If there is not a lot in it functionality wise, it would be the icarsoft, purely for the flexibility of so many more vehicles (which would be quite important for me)
However, if the multiecuscan is streets ahead for fiat, then that's what i would consider.
Quite a few people review like for like hand held diagnostic tools, but can's find anyone pitting the multiecuscan with the icarsoft CR pro (or CR Max)

Thanks

Hi. I don't know the icar but have had a multiplexed version of MES for about 4, maybe 5 years now and if you're using it for services, code reading and resets, graphing sensor outputs and other diagnostic "stuff" like driving actuators etc I find it works very well indeed. Have a look at their website https://www.multiecuscan.net/ and download the software (free) then you can run it in simulate mode and get a good idea of what you can do with it. I also have VCDS for my VAG cars but find it's a bit too advanced for what I understand how to do so I'd say you need to consider where your knowledge and skill level is and choose a package which fits. I don't think I'll ever need to do much more to our Fiats than MES lets me do.

Hope that is of some use?
