Anyone been having issues with MSN these past 24hrs?

Just I can't log in and I've even tried an older version. Internet is perfectly fine and even the trouble shoot diagnostic says that and yet it still won't connect, saying I'm getting an 80072745 error, whatever the feck that is.

Have tried rebooting and installing the latest version but no joy. May do a clean install, but can't work out what's up with it :(

Mines logged in just now BUT I've been having issues receiving messages from other folk of late. Not sure why :(

I think, but not sure, there was an issue with Windows Defender. I've got a firewall via the router and Windows Defender as well and the latter decided to throw a wobbly. Switched the firewall on the Windows Security Centre on and off and seems to have done the trick.

Kinda random how that happened though and rather annoying. At least now it's sorted, I think :p

My msn is always trouble

have you installed any anti-virus software recently or changed your firewall settings?

That's the thing, haven't made any changes at all and it just randomly decided to not sign in. I keep my PC on all the time for d/l torrents and the like, so it hasn't been off for weeks. Only restart it when I have major updates and the like. Guess it's just the lovely MS working their magic again :tosser:

Hmm, may email MS about it, see what's up. Probably take about a month for a reply from their "brilliant" technical support team though.

they got back to me within a few hours. i got locked out my emails n i had to do all sorts to get back in. they r no that bad lol

This one was a conflict between MSN and Windows Defender though, 2 MS products. Don't think they could handle the fact that the router was handling the firewall side and I had other anti-virus software running and as a result, they went in the huff. After I essentially gave Defender a slap by resetting the firewall, they came to their senses and all was well.

My experiences in the past with the MS tech support has left a bit to be desired. Have often given me totally the wrong advice or not brilliant advice to solve a problem I later got tech support from a friend to solve. Saying that though, you don't have to pay for the support and sometimes it does work, so they're not all bad I guess.
