The Fiat radio in my Bravo HLX decided to do pinky and perky impressions so its time for it to go. I got a Panasonic CD/MP3 player (PANASONIC-CQ-C1300AN) which went in with a dash panel easily. And seemed to wire up easily with the two ISO connectors. But when the ignition is off the unit loses all power (and forgets settings - poo).

There is another block which connected to the Fiat unit but which had no place to go in the new unit - so being a lazy sod I left it off. It's a block connector with two wires in it and loads of empty slots - but I don't know what its for - I haven't got a tester or anything.

There is probably something simple, anyone know where to get permanent power supply to the unit ?

Thanks.

Chris

Usually you have to swap the Yellow and Red wires around at the back.

One is permeant feed (for memory) and the other is the ignition switch.

Get behind there and swap them.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I did just that this lunchtime and it did the trick. Many thanks again. I am a happy CD player...
