I was given (or robbed one-cant remember) from the university of central lancashire when I was there, it was to celebrate 10 years of the uni, its dated 2002 but I got it in 2001 and its been here ever since. Its gone a bit smooth buts its ok and still tip top.

I dont actually have on for the mac as its an optical mouse so usually use a copy of Q or whatevers knocking around

I don't use one on my home machine either coz it is optical - although I really ought to get the wood wax out, the table has gone a bit lighter

How much you want to spend?

I got loads, usualy pick them up free at corporate bashes as freebies ;)

eBuyer does one for 23p, but then add P&P.

well its my dads money, so anything up to £15 will do :). also, how much are lazer mice?

I have a mouse mat designed specifically for optical mice.

Few people require a laser mouse unless they use their mouse on a surface on which an optical mouse behaves poorly.
