I took my car for its MOT on Tuesday last week. It failed. Work is now complete and I took it for a retest today.

The MOT tester who tested my car is off sick, so no retest could be done.

I was told to come back tomorrow but the 10 day limit is up tomorrow, so what happens if the tester is still of sick?

Could another MOT tester at the same garage retest my car?

Yep. It does not have to be the same tester who retests the car, so long as it is the same garage. Anyone registered there as a tester can retest it.
