General MoT pass!

[89Tipo]

My 89 1.4 Tipo (super bottom of the range basic in white!) passed its MoT yesterday - just an advisory that the parking brake efficiency is only 68% (pass is 50, and an advisory if the tester 'knows it could do better')

They asked if it had been kept in a garage for a chunk of its life its so clean underneath, even original brake lines!

It was a re-test pass, but the fail was only on the CO mixture, which I knew was well out having replaced the carburettor rubber 'foot' a week or two ago.

Managed a consistent 42mpg over 360 miles last weekend too, approx 170 motorway, the rest steep hills in Yorkshire and Northumberland!

Well done, this is great news. Good to hear there is another Tipo on the road. I never see any. Mine passed 2 weeks ago, 1 advisory - slight play in a roll bar nut !

need some photos of the car - has it still got the original 13" wheels with 165/70 tyres and the cheapo "Formula" wheeltrims?
