Hey, just wondering if anyone on here is with More Than? Few months ago they did a promo, if you take a policy out, you will get a free £25 fuel card to use.

I got my policy a few weeks into September 08, starting on the 29th. When I was on the phone to them, they said that I would have my fuel card within 30 days of my policy starting (29th of Oct).

29th of Oct came and went, I emailed them to ask where it was, and they said I needed to wait 60 days from the policy start date, little annoyed but ok.

After 60 days I sent another email saying I still hadn't got it, I didn't get a reply, so I phoned up, spoke to someone who said it had been sent, but because it hadn't come, they would send it again. Fair enough, sometimes post goes missing, which cant be helped.

They said it will be here within six weeks of the phone call (8th of Jan), so should have been here today (although its a Sunday, so should have been yesterday, although I'm not at home at the moment, so it may have come...).

After speaking to my mum about it, we wrote a letter of complaint to them, not sure when I sent this, however on Monday (last week) I got phone call from someone, who said they have until the 8th of Feb (when they didn't...they had until the 29th of Oct), but they would phone later that week to see if I have it. On Thursday or Friday I got a phone call from the women I had been dealing with, they left a message on my voice mail, because I was still asleep, saying that I shouldn't have phoned because they had until the 8th of Feb to get it too me (Srsly, how does it take 4 weeks to send a letter to me...).

Because of this, I phoned up (ok, my mum did...shes better at this kind of thing lol)again because I thought it is not only crap customer service for taking so long, but the attidude of the women I was speaking to.

When the person picked up, my mum said she was phoning on behalf of her son, she got asked the normal questions...MY date of birth...MY first line of MY address...and then he continued to speak to her...surely, if its in MY name, they shouldn't have spoken to her without asking me if its ok first...its not hard to get my date of birthday and address.

The guy said he would phone back within 24 hours, I got back from work and my mum said that More Than had phoned...but left a message with my 9 year old sister...when I had one of the first phone calls with the first women, I said I would be at college when I she said she would phone, but she could leave a message of my home phone, but she said she couldn't because it wasn't me, but they will talk to someone who clearly isn't me, and leave a message with a 9 year old.

Most of that isn't needed, but I wanted to show whats happened over the months.

I know its only £25, which isn't much, but its faluse advertising, we have also spoken to trading standands, who are also looking into it.

Has anyone else had theirs if they where told they would get it?

What else do I do now? We got though to a manager (who got to my little sister), who said I will have the card on either Monday or Friday (Sister cant remember what he said...the reason we are annoyed he left it with her...).

"They said it will be here within six weeks of the phone call (8th of Jan), so should have been here today (although its a Sunday, so should have been yesterday, although I'm not at home at the moment, so it may have come...)."

It's 8th of feb today :D Think the chronology of this paragraph and the next one have been mixed up (took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you were saying)

But definately agree with you. If a company does a promotion they should have to follow through with it not just assume that everybody will just forget about it.

Give watchdog a go as well. Seeing your case on national tv may prompt more than into action. :D

Wont watch dog only do something if its more than one person?

Oh and I meant to put 4 weeks, not six. And its not here :( guess its time to phone again...wonder if I'll get anything good if I say I wont be renewing my insurance with them...

forget phoning, send a letter via recorded delivery giving them 7 working days to respond/fulfill their obligation

Already have, (think I stated it above), but they said they have until the 8th of Feb to get it to me. This is when that women phoned telling me I shouldn't have phoned them again.

Well, the 8th of Feb passed, and so did the Monday or Friday that they said it would be here.

Phoned up to get the address to make a formal complaint, the guy asked why I wanted to make a formal complaint, when I explained why, he said that there had been a problem manufacturing the cards, and its not just me thats having problems with it.

Which is funny because before they said they had posted it to arrive by the end of October, and now there is a problem with getting them out to me...sounds like ******** to me.

Anyway, I've got the details that I need, time to get a letter typed out, going to send a copy to Watch Dog as well.

Just wondering, what are the chances of if I asked what are they going to do to make sure I dont go else where in September (And my step dad, as he is with them as well), them giving me cheaper insurance or something?

Well it finally arrived a few days ago, was just about to post the letter of complaint when it came, so got to re-word it now. Only 4 months late >.<

I can cancel, but cant afford to, plus More Than are so much cheaper than everyone else around for me (£914 fully comp at 19).

Chriss Knott wont insurance me fully comp until I'm 21, and as it was only a couple of hundred extra from 3rd party fire and theft to fully comp, was worth it I though.

Cant see that they'll give me anything though, seeing as they know that its going to be hard for me to get it any cheaper, although my step dad is with them as well, so maybe they will...

Mum got a phone call today, saying that there was a cock up with the system, said that they where sorry etc, and hes marked my account for when I renew, to see if they can offer a discount. Then if I do...its off to Tesco where they will match my quote, and give me 10% off for being staff :D

Postman had just been...saw it was something from More Than, was expecting it to be one of those mass mail things, turned out to be another £25 fuel card .

Just when I need it...running a little low on money atm

Took the policy out end of September updated
it in December Via telephone to India for the stilo.
Checked the vehicle file yesterday and found the revised
documents haven't arrived either. Checked on the Insurance
website the car logged as insured.

http://www.askmid.com/ see if the neighbours cars
insured :)

Not that promising is it.
Note Chase documents chase fuel card.
