I got seicento with punto engine 1.2 8v and I am trying to figure out of what can I do to gain more power, any ideas ?

So that's where it went! I was gutted to miss out on this when it was on eBay.

If it's an mpi engine it should have 75 bhp, if it's the spi engine it'll be 60bhp. The mpi camshaft (866 I think) can be fitted to the spi to give a bit more power. There's loads that can be done but it depends how deep your pockets are.

It is mpi engine, I already have K&N Apollo induction which should be decent and also I have stainless exhaust which should give extra bhp. So I ain't sure ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432665062.346431.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432665072.483016.jpg

Well some people told me it's mpi so I ain't sure now. Have a look at the engine pal ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432665218.999637.jpg

You have a Euro3 type Ecu which are fussy to changes in engine mods due to the stricter emissions. You will hit a wall with regard to the engine management light and power with major mods to the engine.
An 866 Cam is a good mod but the Ecu will not like it and you will have power fluctuations depending on how the Ecu feels.
The Plastic inlet manifold is restrictive and will be a limiting factor for power.
A Supersprint exhaust manifold is a good thing to have and produce more power than a back box, but is linked to the fuel/air supply to the combustion chambers.

I have a Euro5 1242 engine with a 40mm TB and standard Seicento inlet manifold that has 60Hp running on an Omex Ecu.

Best Bhp per pound spent is the 1242 16v engine with It's factory Ecu.

Well it's too late to change the engine and probably not worth it £££££. Well what about the chip tuning which give about 10bhp ? Worth it ?

Modded chip -SPI engine
Your car -MPI engine
C'mon you should be starting to learn the basics by now.

As cc1 pointed out you are very limited to what mods you can make without buying a programmable ECU (& that's not a cheap or easy exercise).
Pass your test, enjoy the car as it is, & stop worrying about HP figures- the maximum speed limit is 70mph unless you drive abroad regularly or own a racetrack.

What happened to me was that nothing satisfied my hungry for power.
After wasting some money to gain 3...5...maybe 10hp(i doubt) i decided for the right thing. TURBO!
dont be a afraid, turbo that engine with even low pressure( .5 or .6 bar) and have lots of fun.(y)

What about fuel consumption ? And how much does it cost to put turbo in it ?

Any increase in hp, will have an equally detrimental effect on fuel consumption. Logic dictates, if you are pulling and pushing more air in and out, you must therefore add more fuel to compensate.
Of course it depends how heavy you're right foot is.

If you are bothered about the money to swap to a 16v lump, then turbo charging is not going to be for you. If money is no object, stick a supercharged hayabusa engine in the back and wave bye bye to about £5000.

Otherwise keep any mods to within what the ecu will run and enjoy centodom.
