Having reported on another post that I've just had the cam-belt etc. done, oil and filter and air filter I thought I'd get the tyres sorted.

Was going to have the tracking adjusted whilst in the garage to set the steering wheel straight but they said they couldn't do it due to the amount of wear on the tyres. Just passed an MOT but I knew they were worn on the inner part and was planning on getting them replaced sometime in the near future and certainly before winter.

Whilst the rears had plenty of tread on them, all four tyres were different makes so I thought I'd bite the bullet and get a full set of new ones.

Whilst balancing them it was found that three were slightly buckled!
Not dangerously so but somewhat annoying nevertheless. So maybe a set of aftermarkets in the future?

Tracking was found to be way out, surprise, surprise. But with that done and the new tyres it was certainly nicer to drive. And seems to go better as well, probably due to the new air filter.

Also garage couldn't recharge air-con as there is a leak, but that is going to have to wait now, as I've spent enough on what was supposed to be a cheap runaround. :(

Oh yes, another thing I've noticed is that when turning the steering wheel quite a bit there is what sounds like a clunk, I guess from somewhere in the column? Almost sounds like something is loose and rolling around in one of the storage boxes. Had a quick look though and not found anything so still guessing it's the steering column.
