Ducato Moho not starting

Hi.i have a 2009 autotrail apache 634u on a ducato chassis.it literally never turned a wheel last year.i jumped it,drove about 60 miles ,stopped and it wouldn't start without a jump.i've put a new battery in,changed the battery in the key fob but will still not start.i get the lights in the dash panels but not even a click when i turn on.the key fob doesn't open the doors by pressing,have to manually unlock but can lock and unlock from the button on the dash.i've checked all the fuses i can find.could it be the key needs reset,rechipped or resomething else?or am i way off in thinking that?

Check out the heavy earthing before getting too technical. Any and all earth straps from battery to chassis, chassis to engine block. Then inspect the 12v version to the start relay on the starter. No click is common, all other electrical bits might work. Does not quite explain your locking issue, go for the obvious first though. The door solenoids pull a fair instant current, might be bad connection there too, if not the same one.

Single jump lead from metal part of engine to battery earth and report back

Put a lead from negative to engine part but no difference.key still won't open door and engine won't start

Then look at the terminations to the starter and relay. Be a little careful as on some variants a spanner short across the relay will turn the starter, on tractors where this is a common issue I wrap most of the 10mm or so spanner with tape
