I know that a sportfilter will increase performance of my HLX, but what does it actually do to produce the better performance?

Where is the best place to buy one and can I fit it myself? And how much does it cost? Will a better filter increase fuel comsumption?

advantages of a sportfilter

- less fuel consumption
- wash it every 20.000 miles and reuse it
- extra BHP because the engine gets more cool air so there will be a better burning of the fuel
- you can order it from the D&W catalogue or get it from your tuning-shop, there is a filter for almost every model, so it won't be so difficult to install it yourself...
- price (for my Bravo TD, so there might be a little difference...)
