Technical moaning noise when steering

Hi My R Reg 1.9 petrol Ulysse has a loud noise like moaning groaning when I am stearing it is very noticable and loud when in car parks and the streets but hardly any noise when on the motoway, I am also a bit concerned when turning left, the car seams to have a jolt to the left when im going at normal speeds round corners, i have had tracing and wheel balancing done, and dont know where to go next
any ideas are apresiated

sounds abit like the noises a steering rack would make when on it's way out, might be worth getting it looked at

Check the power steering fluid, may be low, is the pump leaking? Is the belt OK?

The problem was simply the fluid was low, however the reservoir has developed a film around it to the top fill level so it looked like it was full :bang:, I have topped it up and had a quick test up to Garforth on the M1 and Back down through crossgates back home, No moaning, no jolts, I'm a happy bunny again
