MK2 Punto CD Player stuck

Got a friend who has a CD Stuck in their CD Player in the car.

Its just spinning, and not playing or ejecting. Putting another Cd in to try and force it out or to play hasn't worked.

Any of you MK2 drivers any ideas? Its the standard CD player that came with the car that is installed!

Only thing, pull the cd player out and open it up...and take it out, lol...

Make sure she has the security code before taking out the cd player because im sure it will ask for it when u plug it back in!

This'll sound daft, but I'll try it anyway - has he powered down the unit for a period of say 10 mins then put power to it and tried ejecting again? I've seen units at work (not car ones, obviously lol) and minidiscs jam. It's sometimes a bit random and you just have to keep switching power of then giving it power and holding eject on restart again!

emm at least if u know its spinning its npt completly stuck.

maybe she/he has pushed the cd in 2 far and broke the ejecting mechanism.

Go to any cd/audio shop they'l get it sorted in a few seconds

Sounds like her dad is just going to buy her a new CD Player! :lol:

Its not even recognising that the CD is in there, its not playing, so its not just the eject mechanism thats knackered!
