Technical mk2 1.2 8v Steering rack change

Hi all, hope you are all well
After 5 years of advisary my local test centre finally failed my punto van for play in the steering rack. I have one ordered and just wondering how difficult to fit and is there anything in particular to watch for. Any help appreciated before I start.

Hi Nigelog,

Did you ever get the job done? I'm about to do the same on my 2001 Punto 1.2 8v and was wondering if the subframe had to be lowered to remove the rack or if it will 'slip out' nicely after removing the rack bolts.
