Right i have a mk1 uno 45s and have put my cd player in. but im having problems with it every bump in the road even ones you dont know are ther because you cant even feel them, makes the cd jump. now my brother rekons its because the stereo fiting in the unos are not strait I.E the front of the stereo points up at the roof, do you rekon its that, have any of you had this problem, if so what did you do to resolve it. please bear in mind i have had this cd player in outher cars with no problems and have even tryed anouther spare cd player i know to be good, in it as well with the same problem

i couldnt say but in the mk1 you feel just about every bump

Or, to be more accurate, in the Mk1 the *stereo* feels every bump :)

I reckon you should try stiffening up the mounting a bit. Have you ever watched the stereo as you drive long - that housing literally jumps up and down! Make sure that the heater is screwed onto the dashboard support - the screw is under a square plastic cover in the centre of the dash top, ahead of the dash roll.

Take the stereo mounting sleeve out and experiment with chunks of foam to make the mounting tighter, and if that doesn't work then get another CD player - they're cheap enough?

I had a Jensen CD player, brand-new, that I put in an Uno I had. It sounded great - when not driving, and then the moment I went down the road, the CD practically stopped playing.

Also try original CDs (if you haven't already ;)) and see if there's any improvement vs. CD-Rs...

now that is a bit flash!!!! niceeeeee.......! odd about the bumping about though, i had a tape head unit in my old 70sx, with a 10 disc autochanger in the boot screwed on to the rear seat back, i'm sure it was just as bumpy back there, but never seemed to skip. is a any of this down to the cramming of everything into one unit?

Maybe it is right time to make use the players 2 years of free warranty service...
