alrite just want to know wether a mk1 rear bumper will fit on a mk2

as i think it makes the back look smaller

How come you want to swap bumpers? Is it for aesthetic reasons or that the mk2 bumpers are damaged and you have good mk1 bumpers?

It is a common swap usually everyone uses the mk2 bumpers as they are deeper, never heard of anyone using mk1 bumpers on a mk2 tho Ant!

Just an idea I have to make the MKII car look a little different for the duration of the Sucata rally.

Also thinking of using some X1/9 alloys with 185/60s that I already have

After the rally I'll put the MKII bumpers back on before I sell it . . . .

I don't think the FRONT bumper will fit, no.
There are differences in the width where the bumper meets the front guards. F R O S T Y knows this, because his bodykit Mk1 front bumper didn't fit without cutting and fettling. The Mk2 front bumper is taller - the part of the front wing below the swage line is shorter.

I've looked at both cars a lot closer now
certainly the front will NOT be an easy swap . . . .
SO forget that idea
