Technical MK II Gearboxes

Hi all,


This only applied to the later Punto style boxes with the push-down reverse. Please note they are NOT all they same, even with cars registered on the same day and similar no. plates and same engine size etc... they are different.

Ones with a B are different to the ones with a C on them.

Differences are different reverse inhibitor mounting, and different speedo drive end piece.

To get round this i have had to change the selector mech, and outer diff casing so that it will match my car

Did you get it to match up and is it better than the gearbox you had before?

Yes it matched up fine, changed slector mech. and diff casings went on fine.

Gearbox works fine, however the clutch slave cylinder doesn't and leaked all the fluid out. Meaning it missed its first event last night, had to use my Mondeo TDCi as course closing car
