missfire ???

My girlfriend bought a bravo 1.8 HLX about 6 months ago when she bought it it was fully serviced. now when she is driving it it seems to hesitate at around 1000 revs this is causing the car to sometimes stall or run on Kangaroo petrol. this only happens when you try to drive slowly if you boot it the car goes like stink. ! anyone got any ideas or had the same problem???

It might be the injector pump OR the lamda sensor.
Lamda sensor can be tested to see how quickly it can react. If you are getting throttle problems it may be due to an excessively rich or lean fuel/air mixture which the lamda sensor can not detect quickly enough.

If you need to change it, you're looking at approx £45.
