the car is running on 3 cyclinders its fine on idle but wen driving it just dies, has no power its not plugs as just been changed.just had new head gasket.

Useful info like engine size, age, service history, reason it needed a new head gasket etc.. would really help the diagnosis.

1.2, 2000 model not sure bout service history. the head gasket was just nacked that is all i ken.

was the head skimmed when the HG was done?
when dan owned my now bravo... HG went and gave it to a cowboy, didnt skim the head and 5k miles later.. i buy it with a buggered HG

yes it was skimmed and 3 of the valves were replaced. in 5th gear at 40 50mph with low revs its fine but put the foot down and it does no pull or go any faster.

Hi Chris.. I can't help you much as i've never owned a 1.2 but as for posting on the forum...
1st of all welcome to our little family of BOOzers.
2nd please be a wear people on here are very different, stretch from all over the UK and different countrys.... they may type things that you take differntly to how they ment it. Hopefully the smileys help to show how the poster is feeling...
I find it's best to read every post with a huge smile and things go alright then.... hopefully.

carefull rob hes back in a fettled hgt now m8. he couldnt keep away after coming out for a blast in miy bravo to get kfc.
i brought tommy into the bravo/boo fold way back in the day when we were poor students and i have now got him back in again after showing him what he was missing(kfc and his eyeballs thrust to the back of his brain).
as for the misfire i put money on it being the coil pack
