Misfiring and error code u1702 on 1.2 16V engine.

Thought I'd crosspost this, since it's engine related rather than model related. Unfortunately, I'm not eligible to post URL's so I'll just leave a crippled URL.

Short take: My car is misfiring at low RPM, and the OBD shows error u1700 and u1702. I need help.

I think the codes are for canbus errors. I'd check the state of the battery, alternator and earths, but then do the old start it up in the dark, look for blue flashes under the bonnet thing (temporarily removing the air filter gubbins will help visibility).

In short, I doubt if they're related.
