General Milenco steering wheel lock

Next purchase for our X250 Ducato panel van conversion IH camper is going to be a steering wheel lock device - I’ve provisionally settled on a
Milenco Commercial High security steering wheel lock
Its to supplement my pedal lock box and I’ve chosen this as it will be easier to store than a Disklok, however there is a shorter version available(which I could store in a floor locker behind the cab)- is anyone already using the shorter version on an X250? If so does it adequately foul the windscreen or is the longer commercial unit the only realistic choice?

I bought the shorter one for my wife's new car, and to be honest I wouldn't contemplate using it on the Ducato. Due to the greater room in the cabin I doubt it would be totally effective, hence I suspect the reason that the commercial version is longer.
