So I'm looking to change the factory 17" alloys to steelies, but wanted to know what the maximum offset change I can make is. The rim I'm considering is a 17"x8" with an ET-10. Factory is 17"x7" ET-38. I know recommended ET change is generally about -5, but wondering if I can push it a bit using these rims I have seen (link below) to bring the wheel out slightly. I have already upgraded the tyres from 245/65x17 to a 265/70x17 Falcon RT's (as you can see in my profile picture) with no rubbing at full lock on the factory rims. Will changing the ET by -28 be a stretch too far do we think? And might it then start to cause rubbing on the arch? Or could I get away with it?!? Any advice greatly welcomed!
