Barchetta man here. Thinking of buying a 1997 Weekend 2.4 td locally. £600, 84k with some history and new MOT. Given it is worth nothing, what serious to look at?

Wishbones might need changing (£15 a side for the bits).
Check all electronics work, glowplugs, all doors including boot lock and open, check the engine boosts correctly.

Ta. Old car, but could be cracking value. Got a Grand Cherokee V8 but it likes a drink, hence the Weekend..........
Engine is supposed to be really smooth for a diesel. I had the JTD version of the odd-pot and it was awesome.
