General marea matrix bypassed

hi all im new here i have a marea 1.6 with no air con the hot air wasn,t working so i tried to bleed the hoses but the rubber pipes going to the heater were by passed the one with the valve is coming from the heater to nothing while the other pipe is now bent back and going back into the engine effectively by passing the heater comletely.i reconnected them back to the heater but the hot air still not working any ideas or hel very much apreciated im afraid i might have put the hoses the other way round or something any confirmation of the placement of the pipes apreciated thanks

That's the link to the heater system on the 1.6 Marea on ePER. Might be of some help.
But I'd wonder why it was disconnected in the first place.
