Marea Headlight Conversion Help

I, 1 lucky bastard, has just got a set of optical marea headlights fot £50 from a scrappy! NOw before i fit them i want to get at the black inside and paint them red! Seen a few cars with std lights inside colour coded! Can i do this with out breaking the lights..Any help very much appreciated...Thanks in advance

Sorry can't help, but just to say you a cheeky f*cker! I looked for ages to find some at a scrappy and ended up paying £242 to fiat.

Not done it but I think you have to cut the seal at the front where the lens is bonded on, remove the plastic and paint it, then stick it back togeher.

However, you have to make sure you don't touch/mark the silver reflector bits, and when you bond the glass back on it has to be perfectly sealed or you'll get condensation in them - not good.

On a different note, what ya doin with your old lights ?

I am keeping the lights i have on for now, Just in case i **** the marea ones up! But if all goes well i will be selling my original lights sometime around November, Got two holidays and moving house to sort out before i fiddle with the car.

My advice is stick them in as they are for now, its a 5 minute job and they give roughly 5million % more visability.

they look superb on your car nathan, but i dont like them on my car being black, matter of personal taste i guess, dont really do enough night driving to warrant better lights just yet but i will when i move in september so thats the time ill be doing them
