hi there does anyone know if a gearbox out of a MAREA 2 LITRE will fit into a Fiat MAREA 100 SX WEEKEND ESTATE (2000 Reg) 1581 Petrol Manual ..... the marea 2litre gearbox is also a manual.. any help or advice would be much apreciated thanks.

Pretty sure they're different. You need another 1.6 box. Maybe a bravo/brava box will fit?
Yea you need to match the box to then engine is my understanding, some boxes fit others, ie punto box fits the Brava 1.2 abite with a different ratios.
You need a 1.6 gerbox and as Hellcat already said try looking for a B/B one.
My gearbox crashed some time ago with repair costs exceeding its value (differential gear broke into pieces). I bought a used one from some wrecked bravo, changed oil and it runs with no problem. All mounts and attachments are exactly the same.
You will need your half-shafts though.
BTW - am I using the right vocabulary?
