Marea finds: polys, consoles and handles!

Ok so found a new scrap yard today, one i hadnt been at before as isnt open to the public kind of thing but went with a friend who knows them through his work. 3 Mareas (all top spec)ELX etc, and that was just what i saw without digging along the row of stacked fiats they had. (it was too muddy and getting dark and i didnt have wellies!)

So got some polys, 1 off 2 cars as the other had broken brackets. And it was too late and dark to get the handles off or the consoles out.

They had a dark blue one, a maroon one, a silver one, and many more others i couldnt get too beaucse of the mud and dark.

Was like christmas! Will need to go back another day, prepared with tools and hats and wellies and get cracking into them.

Hey mountain, I'm looking for a centre console with electric mirror control and electric mirrors, any chance you could price me those up?

BTW, does anyone know if the Marea mirror base plates are compatible with the Bravo?

Yup no probs, will get my mate to call them and will email you the prices, can deliver to Glasgow and meet you somewhere, all 3 i saw today had electrics.

Although 1 did have the wee bit that holds the arm down missing, seemingly a common problem, am sure i've seen posts before about how to fix with putty etc. Would that put you off?

Also if i get electic mirrors you wanting ones with no corrosion on base plates? As again hard to find! Dunno if the fit a Bravo, someone said Brava ones, dont and i have one off my Brava in the garage and have been meaning to check.

If the arm rest click is there but off the armrest it's an easy fix - got one already but I fancy upgrading

I am looking for mirrors with no corrosion - I don't think there's an easy fix for that I'll just keep my eyes open for a reasonable set but I may as well be prepared with the controls

Just thinkin aswell, if there are a pair of rear Marea handles in semi-decent condition I'll have them too

Base plates - you may as well sort them yourself. If you buy 2nd hand ones they will corrode too.

Sand them back to the aluminium then a few coats of primer then matt hammerite or similar

Yup thats why i had one off the Brava to attempt that! lol Never got round to it yet, will take pics etc for a guide if i remember.
