no you do not need them, they are for the heater to blow air out the rear of the console.

none of that will fit in yours

to make the back vent on the console work you need to butcher the two i have managed it but i forgot to take pictures

basically get the two little bits and fit them to the heter then chop them off at the right length and angle and fit them into the opening on the on the big piece then cut up the left over plastic into strips and use it to fill the gaps! screw it all in place so it fits right then take it out the car and use epoxy resin glue to stick it. i also wraped duck tape round it as well just to be sure :)

most people dont bother and just block the holes underneath the heater

also if you want te console to fit properly you may need to make up a metal bracket at the back of the console as the rear screw holes are in a different place (they were in mine)

You mean the rear part of the front console (dash) ?

sven

Thanks Ash !

I have the rear holder, its an U shaped one.
So the procedure is to cut the little pipes and fit them in the opening of the "forked" big pipe ?

sven

thats it bud i cut them off at an angle to get a better fit i dont know of anyone else that has bothered yet! (im just one of those people where if it is there it has to work! or it bugs me lol)

What Ash has said. All the parts are neccessary, i just cut the two smaller pieces of plastic to channel air to the larger air pipe and taped it round.

In regards to the U shaped bracket for the rear, after you have removed your console you'll see that that the little clips to screw the bracket down to the car are missing on the Bravo(well not really). On the Bravo they are in different places so you need to remove the two metal clips used for the rear screws for the Bravos console and push them inplace for where the U shaped bracket goes. No need to buy anything or alter anyhting, everything is there.

If you need any help just email me Sven.

Thanks Joske, will do if I need any help further.

@Ash - I know what U mean, am like that also ;)

lol the mark 1 doesnt have that rear bit to mount the plastic bit so i had to make it im guessing ur mk2 jtds have it lol

Ash there are little square holes where the plastic U shape clip goes. You just remove the metal clips that where used to hold the Bravo console (under the rear ashtray) and push them inplace where the square holes are. Then the U shape bracket uses them to screw onto too. I think you could also use them things you get free with car speakers, the metal clips used for the self tappers.

I'm sure all Bravo's have them as its part of the body/chassis of the car, but then again Fiat do work in mysterious ways.

I think that the mk1 dont have the additional holes, just the ones for the Bravo console

sven

there were no holes in the rear of ash's car to fit the bracket too.
