What on earth is this little thing on the back of my Marea?

is it the smash sensor, or the park point for the wiper, so that you can line it up?

What you need to line the wiper up for? They come pre-seized in position

It's a wierd little thing, hadn't noticed it on the green marea but I have on the 2.4JTD.

if you take the wiper arm off, you have to realign it agaisnt something as its just held on with a little cog

all of my cinqs have had one, and so does the golf :chin:

I'll have a look on the bravo to see if it has anything to line up against. I'll also see if my wiper lines up with it.

No.. the really little thing. I aint got a pic of it yet but its a clear circle about 8mm across on the black part of the tailgate glass.

it is a bit late for me anyhow just twigged the little thing in the big black square theres not one on mine unless its peculiar to the 2.4 by the way what do you use to put lines on the pic with its handy to point something out.

its definatly for lining up your wiper arms have a look at your windscreen you have them there as well

My quess would be to aid the robots building the tailgate and aid with the alignment of the glass to the frame.

i got that on the back of mine as well and i have also noticed i have 2 on the windscreen aswell just under the wipers.
