Please help - I have had a ridicules quote - see https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=28344 for details.

I may need a garage that is prepared to fit parts only (our sponsors can supply at a fraction of the cost of first quote).

As no MOT - will need to be close to Maidstone.

Good question – It’s an MOT failure + no tax I need to look into how far I can drive…

have you got use of a car with a towbar? if so ring around for a trailer, i was suprised when i did was only £50 for a day for a top twin axel braked trailer with straps, thats southern prices so could be cheeper ones up there

I have no easy access to a Tow bar. Would have been worth bring back to Manchester before the test. As retest is free, I may as well work on / get work done in Kent.

Hi All – just a quick update on Formula One – Maidstone.

Brakes. They will only fit their own parts for guarantee reasons. This is probably the case at most if not all garages. I think I’ll do the brakes my self (cart trolley jack on public transport )

Exhaust. If it is only a case of re-sealing the exhaust – their quote is too low to post here! – Call them and ask if you need a quote

Headlamp alignment. their quote was higher, but as per their price promise, they beat the other local garage by £1. I reckon it’s just that the bulb is in upside down or wrong bulb. If not – I’d pay.
