Tuning lumpy tickover

I experienced a lumpiness on accelation and when I tried it the next day
just ticking over its the same in neutral
any thoughts?

Mine has just been through 5 garages to find a fault causing the same symptoms plus some extras. Faulty EGR valve is the cause. Mine is stuck open causing lumpy driving and slow acceleration. Hesitation between gear changes and the car isn't sure which gear it quite wants. Awaiting a quote for replacement/Blanking plate.

all cleared now must have been some rubbish in the diesel fuel - I put a bottle of wynns injector cleaner in the tank and that cleared it
