Is there any place that cell springs that drops 50mm my bravo? wep site or something cause I´m from finland and I´m not coming to england any time soon :) thanx..

ps. In Finland the law says that U can´t lower your car more then 51mm.. :( that sucks...

Toni, I've just started looking at lowering sprins my self. The lowest I've found so far are spax 40mm.

I haven't looked massively into it yet so I'm sure you can get lower. I think Some one was saying on an early post that Gmax do a 45mm drop.

Re: Re: Lowering springs, help needed...!

If you want just springs the Gmax kit is -40mm (on a 1.4), don't novitec do -50mm?

Re: Re: Re: Lowering springs, help needed...!

ok had abit of a browse on the Spax website.

You can get a full lowering kit with dampers for the 1.2 to 1.8 Bravo that will lower the car 40mm.

They also do lowering springs 1.2 to 1.8 that will drop the car 50mm.

Lots more looking to do before I buy.

springs

Rob, I was warned against getting Spax springs as the qualith is really bad. I was told not to trust them as far as I could throw them. This wasn't a back street garage either, it was Demon Tweeks who told me this!
I was also warned off Pi springs as aparently they have a tendancy to fracture and snap.
Hence why I went for Eibach springs.
Don't know if anyone else knows different?

totally agree

Si is correct PI spring are really **** and will weaken very early on and the ride quality is shite.
Stick with Eibach truly excellent spring but will only drop car 35-40mm max

gmax

hi there,

i use 35mm Gmax lowering springs only (standard shocks). those who were at donnington would have noticed it looked a bit lower than 35mm and si has i think got 30mm eibachs so it goes to show that what it says on paper may not be exactly what you end up with. that said mine looked a lot lower than a standard one when it was new (to me) anyway. it may have been lowered to start with i suppose. could of had the fiat lowering springs on perhaps?

good luck with the slammin'!

one more thing... if you fit em yourself be very careful of the ABS sensors (if fitted) coz i buggered up both of my front ones and it cost me another £70 to fix that!

Re: gmax

Nice one ric! the list of Springs is getting smaller I reckon I'll have made my mind up by the weekend.

What the ride quality lie with your springs?

better

the ride quality actually got a little better with the new springs believe it or not. it does tend to wallow on bumpy roads a bit, but that is just the shocks not being up to the job.

i forgot to mention... the other good thing about gmax springs is they are v. cheap! try www.prosport.uk.com for them (you will have to phone) expect to pay £70-85.

RE:Riclemus

Riclemus, did you have to cut down your bumpstops when you fitted them?

yep

yeah mate, the bump stops had to go down by 2cm and i used duct tape to hold the gaiters for the shock on (a bit amateur but i had no coice!) i didnt have to chop em up at the back. you can buy shorter stops but i just got the hacksaw out!
