Technical Loud noise on clutch release

Hello all, I have a 59 model 500. Lately I am hearing a loud Squealing noise when i release the clutch. Its much louder when cold. Has anyone out there experienced this problem. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right area.
I suspect maybe the carbon ring may be shot. I hope i am wrong as i dont want to remove the box.

It's tricky to diagnose noises without hearing them.

Does it only do it when the clutch engages, or does it still do it after the clutch is fully engaged?

does it dissapear completely when the engine is warm?

Thanks for your response Oopsadaisy, When the clutch is pedal is fully down you can hear a small noise but when I release the clutch it very loud. The noise seems to disappear when the engine gets warmer.
