Technical loosing water

I've just replaced the camshaft again on this car. The previous owner didn't know where to put oil I think, and as for filters weeell they come with the car don't they?
anyway, I'm hoping the coolant waters not leaking anywhere around the new head gasket, has anyone got any idea's where it's going, it doesn't seem to be leaking from the radiator..

The water level dropped from max to min in 65 miles

i take it you have recently drained the system?
perhaps you had an air lock, when it moved it filled the rest of the system with water.
