Loose connection on rear light? .....advice please

Hi all
I seem to have developed what I think may be a loose connction on one of my rear lights.I can get the bulb to come on if I jiggle it around in its housing,but it comes on and off when i go over a bump!
I dont think its the wiring.Are there any tricks I can try to keep the bulb in the position where it stays on..I didn't want to lose the car for aday or so to my mechanic for this small problem.

i assume that you have checked the bulb and holder for corrosion?
if so, i'd take the whole assembly out and give the connections a good clean up.

Tried that all connections are clean.

which bulb is it indicator, brake light, sidelight etc?
it's not unknown for bulbs to 'go' like this. try another if you havent already.

it is just one bulb on the cluster that is affected?

Its just the one bulb in the cluster-the sidelight.
