Technical Looking for new engine

Looking for a new engine for my mk1 60 s
its done 166k but the rest of the car is SOUND,i cant atually find any rust lol
looking for any 1242 spi engine thats localish tuned or non tuned anything will do!

What's the matter with your current engine? If it's running OK do you need to do a swap?

If your getting a donor engine
Spend the money now
New Cambelt - New water pump - New Thermostat - Plugs - HT's - Oil Filter etc etc

As fitting a donor engine with a clapped out Pump = HG failure and your spending money again

That is if you planning to keep the car running for alot longer

yeh HG doesnt scare me as i can skim and fit myself
im in worcestershire
well atm im using it for work and with 166k on the clock im a bit paranoid,if i could find the same engine with less miles i can fit it in a day,just finding the dam things
