Hi,

I lost my centre break light, no ground. I'm looking for the ground point it is connected to. The repairing bible shows C30 ground rear left, but where exactly it is? I don't want to remove unneccessary parts to access it.

My car was crashed into from behind, and I noticed the lack of the break light. I think the ground wire was broken somewhere during the crash or the repair.

Open the tailgate, lift the carpet and have a look near the bottom of the tailgate opening towards the left side of the car.
The most common loss of earth for the rear light clusters is corrosion of the black earth wire pin in the cluster plug.
Happy hunting :)

Thanks, I found it, and as I thought, there was the source of the problem. At least I didn't do anything and the center break light has earth and works now.
The problem was that when the boot was repaired, the earth point was painted, so the connection was bad. I wonder how the other lights and consumers worked...
