Hi all,
Where is the best place to put the cd changer? Is there a specific place for it or do you just put it where you can?
Thanks

again...

Though I'd plug this thread again...seeing as noone answered!!!

CD Changer

Sorry Littlefitzer, I was waiting for someone who has a Grundig unit to reply...

But here goes...
I've got a Sony Changer in a Series I Bravo (Upto 03/99) and it's in the boot, left hand side, upright position just screwed into the side of the boot, been there 3 years with no problem..

Now i know that the Series II Bravo's (03/99 on) apparently have a cut out under the rear seat into which the Grundig unit should fit so that it pokes out under the rear seat...

And I seem to remember, Although this could very well have been a dream so don't quote me that there is a section at the back of the glove box that you can remove to mount the changer in there !?!? If it was a dream then that's One Mad Ass Dream!!! Let me know AM I SANE ??

Barakka

thanks Barakka

Thanks very much for the info, I 've got a series 1, so I'll probably end up putting it in the boot - will have a look in the other places though!
p.s. what kind of f***ed up dreams do you have? cd changers in the glove box...ha ha!

Dreams

Tell me about it !!

But seriously, i'm sure that Vaux Astra's have the thingy with the glove box, where you clip a panel off the back and put a CD changer in instead... maybe i've confused the two.. B*gger!

Anyway back to sleep.... sorry work ! :p

mk1

I think my Bravo 1.6sx is a mk1 (1998 S reg) but there is a place under the rear seat to put a changer - worth a look eh?!

back seat

I checked under the rear seats of my Bravo ('01) and there doesn't seem to be room to fit one-but I could be wrong. I was on a French site and one guy suggested the glovebox, but I can't that being anymore roomy than under the rear seats. The dealers recommend the boot, left side.

Well I had a look last night and there is no place under the rear seats for it (Mark 1), so I guess it will be the boot so!
Thanks.

cd changer

Mine 6 disc sits under the rear seats. If you pull up the rear seats (the bit where one places one's arse) there are a couple of mounting points to place your changer. To access a small rectangular cut is required to make a flap. Invisible to thieving scum bags. Thats where mine is.

Check out Andy's response. I have mine fitted under the back seat and careful cutting of the carpet means that it is 99% invisible to scumbags or as Rab C would say Shcumbaggs!
