hi im having exactly the same problem with my 1999 n reg punto auto especially when reversing each day gets worse iv been told it sounds like the gear box going but its only done 27 thousand miles! its had new break pads. im really scared as it keeps jolting and squeeking its my first car and only owned since feb. the previous owners where the second owners and hardly used it as where elderly. took it back to the mechanic i bought it from (friend of the family very honest) couldnt find anything wrong never made a sound typical! im a nervouse wreck as im not in the position to buy a new car dont know what to do please help! i really need my car as its the holidays and four kids to amuse! xx :bang:
