hi all,

Im buying a MK2 punto sporting and notice on the dash a light which was on, its the sysmbol for the headlights with an arrow pointing both up and down (like headlight adjustment) anyone know what it is ? or whether its on all the time ?

Cheers
Rob

I tried that myself, seems impossible, if it's red it's normally a warning symbol. Bulb check lights are orange/yellow. i've not heard of one with arrows either side:confused: ? not trying to insult you but are you sure i'ts not the handbrake symbol as that is in red.

Where was the symbol located on the dash as scotty said and i agree there is no arrows pointing up and down only side to side and thats the indicators and there green if its the handbrake light did it look somethin like this (!)

it can't be the fog light as thats in blue. i'll have a look in my manual when i get home. i'm not sure about any differences between sporting and elx units so if you could get a picture that would be great.

Yeah your right cant be rear fog light thats amber the front fog lights are green the symbols that are (red) are (engine oil pressure) (battery) (engine coolant temp) (electrical alarm) (doors open) (seat belt) (power steering failure) (injection system failure) (air bag) none with arrows... ? lol

This one's baffling me  the symbol for my headlight adjustment is on the lcd and you've just gone through all the symbols on the dash as far as i can tell! so until theres a picture, i have absolutely no idea .... Sorry!

if it's on the left of the lcd it's nothing to worry about as it's on all the time. i think it is the symbol you are worried about as it's exactly as you described it ( Headlight symbol with up & down arrows on the left ) it should also have a number on the left between 0 & 3 which tells you the headlight setting
